Does planting Aloe Vera from a cutting work at all?

Ive read online that its possible to grow a full plant from leaf cutting is this possible?

Dry the cut leaf for a day or two before sticking it in medium. Then wet cut leaf & dust with rooting hormone, & stick it in soil.
