Cat's claw / habitat for thousands of grass spiders?

I started on a project a few weeks back to tear down, chip and mulch this very old, very large cat's claw vine that's layered thickly over my backyard fence. The thing is an eyesore, and it's getting to the point where it'll start to invade my neighbors' properties.

But one of the things I noticed, there are absolutely thousands of bugs in here, mostly:
- Here and there, small crickets
- grass spiders (they just go scattering in every direction, there are so many)
- daddy long legs

So, I'm about 2/3 of the way cutting this thing out but I've stopped for now. I want to give these critters someplace else to move before I just kick em out of my yard.

Is there any other foliage I should be planting in the same vicinity before I finish killing the cat's claw? I ESPECIALLY want to keep the spiders. If I plant something dense and bushy nearby, a dense enough plant to block the sun midday, will they take up residence? Or are they particular?

Thanks!

I'm not a big fan of juniper, but juniper comes to mind. Would this work? Any other suggestions?
