Hey!
I am trying to grow seedlings with my kids, and one type of seedlings wer're growing are pinapple gauva trees/bushes.
However when the seedlings grow about 2 inches, the stem at the bottom becomes thinner and the top part of the stem becomes fatter, causing the seedling to fall
Is this normal? Aren't these types of seedlings supposed to stand straight? Or are they like cucumbers and grow like vines but on the ground?
Please do help!
And by the way, thanks for answering all my previous questions! Thus forum is really helpful!

The seedling you are supporting with your hand looks to me like chickweed. Compare carefully with the rest of the guava seedlings and see if you see a difference. Off hand looking at the photos, the other seedlings appear to have darker glossy leaves and a bit more woody stem.
Chickweed is a prostrate growing weed and would have thinner basal stem than upper stems that are translucent water filled looking.
