Snow peas

A month or so ago, I planted snow pea seed by a garden fence. I just threw compost on top of them instead of digging a trench. Since I knew we would have a couple more hard freezes, I told them to live or die. They lived, too many of them made it. We've had several rainy days lately and all I did was make a mental note they needed thinning out. Not any more. :) Due to the wet ground, there was some sort of earthworm party or orgy or something in the compost. Birds found them and had a good time digging them out of the soft compost. In the process they thinned the snow peas out quite well. What do you know, sometimes procrastination works. 8)
