Sand of all colors and shapes organic mixes sands of TIME!

Sand has been around since the beginning of time and man has used it for everything from gardens to Sky Scrappers! When you say sand you think brown but it comes in many colors and shapes! From the see to the center of the earth the sand is spewed all over this land!
Even the salmon in the rivers have their parts mixed in the river sands that made the huge vegetation that made this country rich in fertile soils. The sea has sands of all colors from white to black!
Even the volcanos produce types of sand! The great lakes areas sell sands of all types!

I would like to know where I can buy some of these sands with lots of good mixes for plants?
Here is a nice link worth reading that tells you about sand that you never heard of!

On this link click on sand types I was impressed!

Have you seen some of the magnified images of sand? It is beautiful!

This is presumably beach sand with little bits of shell and sea creature remains. Desert sand might look different.

Great link bobberman - bookmarked it :D

I know people who have lovely sand collections in little spice jars made up of place they have traveled.
-- kind of wish I had done that too. :|

Rainbowgardener's post shows you should examine the sand closely for hidden details. 8)

Looks like a lot of organic things in sand like old shell pieces probably from 100 of years past. A good supply of slow calcium release. I was impressed with all the types of sands and colors! I bet there is some gold in it also!
