Help: Starting Indoors - new to veggie gardening!

I plan to start a bunch of seedlings indoors this year, and I'm looking for some tips on what I should and shouldn't be doing.
Varieties:
- bee balm
- broccoli raab
- sweet basil
- holy basil
- sage
- cherry tomatoes
- san marzano tomatoes and black krim tomatoes
- orange bell peppers
- patty pan squash
I'm in zone 7a, I know I can start my leafy greens outside in a couple months. I'm mostly looking for advice on when to start the above seedlings, how long to let them grow indoors before transplanting them, and any precautions I should take/advice I should have before starting this?
Thank you so much for any and all help!
