Hi,
We didn't have our garden ready in early spring due to a tree that had to be cut down beside it......so I didnt get to plant brussel sprouts and snow peas. Its now May 2, do you think its too late in my region? 7A? (Even for Sugar Snap peas?)
I do have a smaller sq ft garden that is partially shaded from about 11am on if that helps?
Please let me know, thanks

I think at this point you're better off waiting until you can plant them for fall/winter garden. Here, I'm supposed to start the Brussels sprouts in mid to late May and fall peas are supposed to be sown mid-July.
I have to admit I'm still working to perfect the timing and seed starting techniques in the summer myself, but the theory is you would add two weeks to the maturity date (for shorter daylight hours and cooler weather) and count back from your average first frost date.
So far, pre-germinating the seeds before sowing seem to be the best way.
