Our blueberries are iron deficient, so we bought Ironite, but decided not to use it when we learned that it contains mercury. Another iron we bought also mentions metal content. Is there a cleaner way to supply iron?
Thanks

I'm not using it for the iron exactly, but what about unsulphured molasses? I add it to my UCG water when watering indoor container plants.

I did a search and came across something that suggested 1 TBL molasses per gallon of water. That seems like a tiny amount, but I'll give it a go.
Thanks, Apple!

You can always try rusting some nails. "Mild steel" wood nails are 0.1% carbon, a trace of manganese and the rest is iron. Wash them good in hot water and soap to remove any oils and soak them in a glass of water until they tint the water. This easy iron tonic has worked well for me in the past.
