Green grass of summer

Pardon if this is old news.
Set stage 4 x 4 raised bed. I mow around, but don't have weed eater. Thus, lush pretty grass next to boards. I can clip off easy with scissors. If I put that lush green grass on bed between plants good or hinderence? I can lay out thin. BTW plants in there are basil, chives, lemon verbena, lavender and a couple of others.

Thanks for listening.

That should be fine... A good nitrogen-rich mulch, and more organic matter for the beds as the grass decomposes.
I toss trimmings like that on my garden beds quite often.

Thanks!
I have an in-town yard, so not lots of lawn, well spare looking at it when gets leggy! I do have the mulcher-mower, standard one, so don't have bagging or raking. It is just around the beds, especially this one I figured to make green into greener! As it is not lots of green, will do fine (thanks to your comments).
