Colored mulch in pellet form

Hi... I've just purchased some pelleting equipment and I'm embarking on a project to produce colored mulch in pellet form. The coloring will be graded according to its feedstock. For example, soft wood will produce a light brown colored pellet and hardwoods will produce a dark brown pellet. Some others will produce a black pellet. And I might even add artificial red dye to create the popular red mulch color. With wood pellets, they are easier to spread by hand. They will also expand to 3-4 times their size when water is added to create a netted/fluffy thick layer of mulch that promotes water retention and aeration. So layer one inch of mulch by hand, add water and you get 4 inches of mulch after it expands. That's the theory anyhow. I'll be conducting some experiments based on this concept. Besides me, is there anyone with an interest in such a product? Just curious, as I don't see them currently being offered in the market. Thx in advance for your feedback.
