So, water on plants is the sun really can burn the plants. I've always heard not to water in the afternoon for this reason, but always thought it was kind of an old wife's tale.....looks like I was wrong. I'm going to make more of an effort to water early from now on. Is this "water-sun-burning" exclusive only to cucumbers, or does it affect all plants? The Helpful Gardener wrote:Yeah those sharp edges on the spots aren't fungal; even water beads on a bright day are enough to lens and burn leaves like that, but I expect G119 is onto the right track...

Thanks for the interesting bit of info .
