I'm hoping for an answer as well, as my cucumbers have just now come down w/ the same affliction as well.

Pretty bizarre coincidence in timing given the vast differences in geography & climate.

Those leaves that are crispy around the edges? Too much water (most likely)

Yeah those sharp edges on the spots aren't fungal; even water beads on a bright day are enough to lens and burn leaves like that, but I expect G119 is onto the right track...

So, water on plants is the sun really can burn the plants. I've always heard not to water in the afternoon for this reason, but always thought it was kind of an old wife's tale.....looks like I was wrong. I'm going to make more of an effort to water early from now on. Is this "water-sun-burning" exclusive only to cucumbers, or does it affect all plants?

Thanks for the interesting bit of info :).

I'm not saying that isn't salt damage from over fertilizing, just offering another possibility. Usually the damage from ferts is more stippled and less lesion like, so I like the lensing thing. But I ain't sayin fer sure...
