I have a five year old bay tree and it produces plenty of nice leaves, which I use in cooking. The bay gets a weekly feed of seaweed stuff and is happily growing away. The thing is a friend has said its leaves should be dark green whereas they are currently a softer, light green colour.
Is this anything to be concerned about?
Hi Marge,
Gosh, sometimes color is so subjective. Computer monitors also interpret colors differently as well. With all that said, let's give it a go. Here's a leaf to compare.

Here's some great info on grow bay laurel.

I think the problem is that you are just using seaweed. It's not a good idea to use alone. I would get some fish emulsion and mix it with the seaweed. Take a look here at both of them.

Here's some info on chlorosis.

For a quick green up you could add epsom salt to your water once or twice.
