Mushrooms

I live in a rental home and because I cannot have a ground garden I am growing my tomato plants in pots with organic soil. But all of a sudden I have tons of mushrooms growing in my pots. I never had this before in my ground bed garden at my last house. Will mulch stop the mushrooms or is there an all nature way to get rid of them?

Mushroom aren't going to hurt your plant. They may even help it. The mushroom is just the fruiting body of a fungus. The fungus can stretch throughout the soil bringing nutrients to the plant. If they are bothering you you could just pull the shrooms off and add some mulch. That will feed the fungus as well as any other microbiological life living in your soil which is good for your plant.
