Squirrels and Pine Cones

There is a large population of both Squirrels and Pine trees around my neighbourhood and the squirrels start the process of decomposition of Pine cones by shredding them. Makes it easy for me because , the seeds are gone and I don't have to mulch the pine cones. I just gather them up and add them to both my worm bin and my compost piles.

Gathered a bucket full of them last night and tonight the plan is to fill a garbage bag with them to add to my large compost pile on the weekend.
