Has anyone ever heard of PlanTea organic fertilizer and if so:

have you used it?

what do you think of it?

I'm pretty sure you can make something similar yourself, I have been experimenting with DIY plant tea's. its pretty easy and the tea's are working very well on the plants ive fed with them.

I am putting in an area of comfrey this next season to use in my compost pile as a nitrogen and will be making plant tea with it as well.

how do u make plant tea? I know its compost, water and oxgent but whats the other stuff u put in and were do I get the good bactira please? I am realy intreste in this!

There are two teas being talked about here. Compost tea which I have and will continue to use is kind of like a medicine as well as having some fertilizing qualities. If I see any of my plants showing problems I doctor them with compost tea and it almost always helps unless a serious disease has moved in. Such as the case last year with the late blight.

Comfrey tea is much more of an organic miracle grow. Simply chop leaves and soak in water for 2 or 3 days strain and feed to plants. I`m guessing 2 or 3 pounds of chopped leaf to five gallons of water. I have never really measured.
I use the comfrey tea more for potted plants and inside plants. Though I have used it on leaf crops such as swiss chard and spinach after cutting to give them a quick restart to the next cutting.
I have grown comfrey in other locations and am adding it to our new place this next season as we have expanded an area outside our main vegetable garden to grow it on.
Another point to be made for comfrey is that it is an excellent amendment to the compost pile as it heats the pile quickly.

yes thank you that help so much! do u use green leaves strait from the tree or allready multching ones from the floor? I will go colecting when it gets light ^^ I am realy intreged now!
