Neighbors birdfeeder.

So my neighbor has a bird feeder kind of close to the back of there yard, and I was planing on growing my garden in a small fenced in area in the back of my yard. I was wondering if this would be a problem, or if the bird feeder would actually attract the birds attention elsewhere.

Our yard is loaded with bird feeders and we've never had a problem with birds eating what we grow. Occasionally they peck at the season's first few tomatoes but they stop after sampling one or two. I have read about people who have to net off their vegetables from birds but we've never had to. The abundance of feeders do make easy pickin's for the birds.

You may find that the bird feeders attract birds who will eat insects which would otherwise attack your vegetables.

There *are* insect-eating birds in addition to seed-eating birds; I'm not sure which species will eat both. But wouldn't that be a nice way of insect control?
