how do I stop caterpillars? *pic*

I keep finding these caterpillars/worms on my snap peas and cilantro, I plucked off 4 yesterday! they are totally chewing up my peas, how do I make them not want to come back w/o spraying anything harmful? I've been told a lot of bugs don't like coffee grinds I sprinkled that around it almost seems like it invited more. anything I can do besides pluck them off on a daily basis?

What's the bird situation in your yard? Do you have any birdhouses in your yard? Do you put out seed for them?

you could try using horticultural enviromesh.
You wouldn't need to permanently cover them although sometimes that can be beneficial as it also brings plants on a little faster. You could just use it around the time you know the eggs are laid.

No I don't have any bird feeders in my yard but I think I'll def have to change that. But will they eat my tomatoes or bell peppers?. . I don't think so, right? and thanks for the enviromesh link if the birds cant help me I might need to look more into that.
