Hi I have an all purpose organic fertilizer. It says use 3 oz per gallon of water. This would be fine for outdoor usage but what about houseplants? For my aloe vera I soak it until it comes out the drainage hole, but wont that add to much fertilizer? Also what about other general houseplants?
Thanks

I find that my aloe vera doesnt need much fertilizer at all, I had a plant stay green in a lightly amended rootbond container for a year & 1/2 before the foliage started to discolored. these guys don't need to be babied at all!!Kurite wrote:Hi I have an all purpose organic fertilizer. but for safe feeding, go with 1-2 TBSP per gallon of water or soil, (if mixing/amending in soil..)
this is my rule of thumb based on the principle, less is best.
Once you fertilize and the plants show no signs of being overfed, you can then start increasing the amount or just fertilize more frequent with the same amounts.
study your plants, most leafs on the plant, will tell you if the soil is to too rich or off balance, when in dought of soil health, flush the containers with water.
