Will Pkg's of Shallots/White onions last till next year?

Trying to get a new garden in, plus horrible weather all spring? and even now. I haven't been able to plant

hardly anything at all. Some of what I was going to plant were the pkg's of Shallots and little White Onions.

Too late now, will they last until next year? Or will I have to throw them out?

If they can be saved for next year, how?

Thanks in advance.

Seeds? Or actual bulbs?

Seeds unopened maybe.

Bulbs need to be planted or eaten.

They are bulbs? So I might as well throw them out?

Why throw them out? At least plant them and have them grow some greens for you to harvest and use.

Would they come up in time for greens? If they did could I dig up and keep a couple of shallots in storage somehow?

My tomato plants went nuts when I planted them and they even have a flower on one at least. :)

If I didn't plant them, are they safe to eat, from the pkg.? Or do they get treated with something?
