2 can eat for 1 week for $48 = 42 meals. breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Every time we go to Walmart the bill is near $100. I started checking details and 2 people can eat for 1 week for $48.

Ground beef is $6 per lb x 2 = $12
Pack of 6 chicken breast = $12
Pork rump roast or ham 2 lb x 2 = $12
Potatoes 5 lbs = $2.99 last 2 weeks = $1.50 per week.
Carrots 5 lbs = $3 last 2 weeks = $1.50 per week.
Beans 3 cans = .68 each x 3 = $2 a week.
Cabbage 89 cents lb = about $2 a week.
Eggs $2.86 per dozen = about $3
Bread $2 per week.
About $48 per week for food.

Ketchup $3 per bottle. Mustard $3. Chips $3.49. Laundry soap $30. Bar soap $15. Paper plates $14 per pack. Paper towels $20 per pack. Toilet paper $30 per pack. Shaving cream $4. Cat food $22 per 20 lb bag last 4 months. Coffee creamer $4. Dish soap $5. Dish washer soap $20. Coffee $6. Frozen pre made BBQ chicken strips box 2 servings $8. 32 oz can Tomato Basil soup $7. Small frozen pizza for 2 = $3.
Non food items & luxury items are much more expensive than food you make.

That tomato basil soup is so good, we can't make it that good, we don't by this often, twice a year is not not so bad.

You can't buy any kind of sauce for less than $3 up to $7 for most bottle. Balsamic vinegar is $14.
