We have these flowers growing wild in the woods. They are very hardy. We have seen them through the snow. Does anyone know what kind of flower they are?

Hey nsin52, good to have you here. That is a very nice native plant and it is well adapted to where it is growing and it certainly looks happy there! Look back at your third photo for a moment- over toward the left and up a little bit you will see another high quality native woodland plant. I think there is another one in your photo over to the right by that twig. That plant is often found growing naturally with your Trillium. It's Maianthemum racemosum. I still can't get into the mode of calling it that yet because I'm still hung up referring to it as Smilacina racemosa or rather False Solomon's Seal-

Thanks for the info. I will look for the other one you mentioned.
There are 27 wooded acres behind our house. We bought about an acre last fall so that we didn't have to worry about someone building close to us. Then this spring, someone bought the rest. It abuts up to the land he owns with his house and now I don't have to worry about someone developing it. He doesn't care that we use it to walk our dog. To see the woodland in its winter splendor, go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIVzfVd0d6Q and have your sound on. I took some pics after a snow and again after an ice storm. Some of the pics are not of the woods, but many are.

Sorry, I couldn't see your YouTube video right away. We have so much kid proof garbage on these computers that we can hardly use them ourselves. I e-mailed the link to my neighbors house, her computer is not booby proofed. Went over to her house and watched it there then ran back home to plant some more. Loved your video. There's some sort of a cyber greeting card company out there that uses a black lab in a lot of their cards and your site reminded me a lot of that company. Don't recall the name of the company but I can assure you that it would be a hit with you if you saw it. Your video was great. I particularly liked the contrast between your dog and the snow.
