Sago Palm Q

Hi All,

Can Sagos switch gender? I have two, one on either end of my front yard landscaping. Previously, the palm on the driveway side had a large bolus with nuts in it, the other side just pushed up new fronds. It seems these two have reversed themselves this year...

Wow I had to 2Xlook to see where you live— I’m sorry I couldn’t even imagine sago palm planted in the ground outside …and I’m not familiar with it at all.

It would be interesting to know the answer. Could extreme weather have affected it for example?
