How to keep away, carpenter bees, wasps, mud dobbers, etc.
Brown paper bag looks like a hornets nest to other bees so they stay away. We were having a terrible time with 100s carpenter bees and red wasps ever where around the, house, patio, carport. Red wasps were in the garden too. Now we have no more carpenter bees or wasps near the house. I use to patio all the time when I pick garden vegetables.

Hey, now; don't run off all the Carpenter bees, they pollinate your garden! Carpenter bees are my friends and I will NEVER drive mine away. They're non-aggressive little sweethearts. If you didn't want your bees, I would've happily taken them. It is the red wasps I want to destroy, they scare the living daylights out of me. As for mad daubers, they're not aggressive either. They don't seem to serve much purpose, but they don't bother me. The daubers that dig holes in the ground are quite fun to watch actually.

If I do this on the car port it only keeps wasps & carpenter bees away from our vehicles. We were having a problem with wasp building nest in the spaces between the vehicle doors. Open door to get in then wasps swarm every where. Edge of garden is 75 ft away it does not keep bees out of the garden. There was a terrible problem with wasps on patio foam in a spray can solved that problem, I filled all the holes where wasps were going in & out of so they can not build nest there anymore.TomatoNut95 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2020 5:57 pmHey, now; don't run off all the Carpenter bees, they pollinate your garden!
