hang a grow light above windowsill

I bought a couple carnivorous plants which I will place in a container on a windowsill to the west.
How can I attach a grow light above the windowsill?
Can I buy or build a construction to hang one lamp above a container?

Without seeing the window it is hard but could you not get a goose neck lamp or put the plants on a stand instead and attach the lights to the stand?

I agree with Imafan. It's hard to say what your options are without knowing how wide the sill is and how deep the window opening is. Do you have enough room to mount a sturdy rod across the window (like a cafe curtain rod, but sturdy enough to support weight) and hang a light from the rod?
