Two daisy heads on one stem!

I grew this funny two headed daisy. Does anyone know how this happened? There are literally two heads at the end of the one stem. I grew it from seed.

This doesn't happen very often. Hard to say what caused it. Something like this makes me think of a four leaf clover, which is also a rare occurance.

I have breeders call it twinning. It can happen with flowers of many types, including some vegetables and fruit. It seems to be biologically a similar process as twinning in animals, but more rare.
