cinnamon vine

:?: What can anyone tell me about the cinnamon vine? Is it an invasive plant and will it grow here in zone 6? Anything else you can tell me would be appreciated. Is it worth the trouble to grow and etc. Thanks,Rowena

Sounds like it might be invasive (although we use it up north in container plantings all the time...)

cinnamon Vine or Chinese Yam is a vining herb. A vigorous grower but not invasive. sprouts from the tuber when earth warm in spring. Flowers are tiny the fragrance is not. Smells like vanilla and cinnamon. Does not need to be pampered. Attractive plant. edible tuber.
