Winter Weather Predictions 2013 - 2014

Ok, so I am curious if any of you have had luck with websites that have accurately predicted the winter weather. I have checked out the Farmer's Almanac but wanted to see if there are other sites. My area can be interesting. Last year wasn't too bad but 2008 winter was terrible! I am thinking we are due for a knock down but Farmer's is saying we will be cold but not much snow. I am hoping for a mild spring so I can garden early. Our springs have been pretty cold and Junes have been rainy and cold too. Even though it was 90 degrees in the beginning of September, the tree leaves started to change color so I am wondering if the tree knows something we don't  .

Interesting. I hadn't looked, but you inspired me to look it up. Farmer's Almanac gives a similar forecast for me here in Ohio -- cold but dry, with below normal snowfall.

However, I found this very technical/ geeky weather site:

https://theweathercentre.blogspot.com/20 ... ecast.html

you have to read (or scroll) through a lot of technical explanatory material to get to the forecasts. For my region he predicts very cold AND very snowy.

That is a pretty cool website! Thanks for the find ! Someone says in the comments that he does another one in October. Can't wait to see what he says. I have to say it has been chillier than previous years this month. But I don't know if I had to bet what I would chose. Winter lately has been blah. I wonder what we will both have? Fun to research it :). There is a weather guy who does one for our local area but if memory serves me he has been wrong lol.

Found a quick link that sums up the weather prediction from the Farmer's Almanac in every area of the USA except Hawaii and Alaska. https://snowboarding.transworld.net/1000 ... announced/
