Chemical warfare, not political, just my yard!
We spotted a huge nest (hornets? wasps?) by the door. It was above eye level, and we didn't notice. I had a can of ugly spray, and my son dutifully sprayed the junk out of it. Next is to spot spray some poison ivy with round-up.

If you're intent on destruction, one way to do it is to wait until night, when they're dormant. Make sure they're dormant. Then knock the hive into a plastic garbage bag.
