Is this tuber a weed?

Found this beauty on the side of the road among a patch of (also) orange daylillies. It is a tuber which makes me think it is not a weed. But maybe it is? Does anyone out there know what it is?

I agree the leaves look lily-ish; but the flowers look like Orange Butterfly Flower or Butterfly Weed (asclepias spp).

I agree with Wing. I think it is Asclepias tuberosa.
Useful plant to have in your garden as it attracts butterflies. Check this link for info; https://www.missouriplants.com/Redalt/Asclepias_tuberosa_page.html
