Another Market Moment

I did manage to be at my market today. With head wound a bit slow, and hid some of the forehead stitches with hair bangs. Yes, did get help with any heavy lifting!

Anyway, a regular customer came by seeing if I had any plant starts for special situation. Her g-son (8) loves to graze in Grans garden, that being mint, basil etc. She got a Salad Burnet start which should do fine. Leaves have a cucumber taste, and it is perennial and evergreen. Graze away!

Thanks MG. Now I wish you hadn't mentioned the self-seeding part. I have a couple in containers, and really, really need divided. The woman who got the start is putting in the ground. Last year she got a sunflower start, the cucumber leaf variety. Native to the Gulf Coast, is branchy, many small blooms. The birds, bees and butterflies love it. She now has starts popping up all around her original spot! She might hesitate to have something else that self seeds as freely! We figured the birds helped with spreading the sunflower around.
