Newly built house - sod and seed ?????

My DH and I recently moved into a brand new house. The builder sodded the front yard and seeded the rest of the yard. We have been watering and after the 4th week, he mowed the sod. It looks pretty good considering we've never done this before!

My question is about the seeded area - when do we mow this? It's pretty patchy still and about 3-4 inches tall. I don't want to mess it up!
