I thought I'd post this link to a source for good magnifiers. The better ones have a light source. Light helps identify some problems better, but it is not necessary. Loupes with varying magnification are better. They are handy to have around and can be kept in your pocket.

So many posts could be identified easier with better descriptions. People could identify more problems themselves or eliminate others if they could just get a closer look.
