Please help Identify

hello everyone.

I have a mystery flower I need to identify, it opens at night, right before your eyes! the most amazing thing anyone has ever seen around here.

Our family has been trying to identify a plant/flower for about 30 years. Any help from all you helpful gardeners would be appreciated.

I've put pictures up on my site showing the leaf & flower & bud & a little more info.

Thanks again in advance

Hi Capypp :D

It is definitely Oenothera but which one? There are over 100 different varieties. If you type in Oenothera wikepedia there is a list of them. I tried a few but the only one that resembled the leaf on yours was the desert evening primrose. I am sure it is in there somewhere but you have to copy all the names and then google images as they have no images on wiki!

Found two possible; O. triloba and O. tanacetifolia. Is it either of those?
