Thunder during a snowstorm! o.0

well technicality a nor'easter -> his name Nemo. But have you ever heard of such before?! I was outside working on a snowman - my first in years; the snow is perfect for it! - and I saw a flash of light! I looked up for a police car or something when there was a boom of thunder. The dog and I ran back to the house so fast :P

Would that be thundersnow? I understand it's a rare phenomenon and usually signals a lot of snow.

Yes, my wife told me she read about snow lightning from Facebook friends who live close to the coast.

We had thundersnow and lightening a few times the past few months here in Missouri. Very interesting.

Yes here I Mo it is not that rare. Usually a couple times a year. More so in the late winter.
