If I can find the seed, some Red Kuri squash. This is a maxima. I really like the flavor of the large maximas like Hubbard and Banana, but the size is a detriment. No one will buy a 25# squash and it is way too big for the two of us too. Oh, we can cook one and freeze some, but one squash is a years supply. I think the Red Kuri sounds interesting, and the size is something more easily handled.

I don't especially like the pepo type winter squash, (spaghetti, acorn, delicata). The maximas have much better flavor.

I am tempted to limit my winter squash to Butternut and the Red Kuri if I can find the seed.

I have planted a good variety of things over the years, so not much new is expected here next year. In fact, I am more inclined to stick to the tried and true varieties that seem to work the best in my garden.

This season was the first for us in this house, so just the basics got planted.

Next year, I will be able to start my plants from seeds, rather being limited to the varieties offered in the stores.

Lots more herbs - especially dill- in pots on the deck, as well as in the garden.

I've never planted brussel sprouts, but DH loves them, so I will give them a shot. any one here have any hints about those?

Awesome let me know how they do please. By the way Big Cheef is spelled with 2 E's and no 'I'. 8) Indian Stripe is also the Burson Strain which we belive is better than any other seed out there. It was aquired from the freezer of the originater who grew it out for 30 something years.
Just got worrd back from 2 other experianced gardeners that both said this was the best garlic they have ever had. You will love the Pescadaro Red.
