Clematis

Thank for correcting the Clematis photo LINK. Here is one old photo (1988) .. the
entire corner has been changed by me. I now have six Clematis
vines that I started with separations.

The shed that was at least 40 years old has been replaced with a new one.
The garden is still stuck with its old gardener however. ... While I'm
here ..here is the new shed.

2008 ... a new Shed has got me started again. Perhaps
it would do the same for all gardeners. to consider.

I guess I should mention that these pics are from last spring/summer.
I'm delighted that I already have 5 new buds on my Clematis this year!
I had a rocky start with them.

Dom, you are an amazing gardener! I hope at your age, I'm still able to garden! It's hard at 51! My body is already falling apart...

beachbum, this is a little off-topic but I thought I was getting old early and it turned out that dairy was making me feel arthritic. I have since cut it and meat from my diet and now, if I am really good about a balanced diet several days in a row, I actually have energy almost like what I remember as a kid! Quite amazing - and the arthritis is gone too.

I also hope to be able to garden at Dom's age. I don't want to stop. :D

Talking about our gardens and showing some old photo is perfect for us
"old guys".. It's like a dietary supplement to stay young.
My first greenhouse was this one in 1968 when I was 46
and could swing a hammer and use a staple gun.

Lined with Canna Glad Giants.. and yes, even lettuce .. no kidding.
I had two other Greenhouses or Cold frames that I enjoyed.
And now at 86 .. and can order "stuff" and help by computer
I started again.

At least those guys bring their own Beer to share while I supervise.
 .. Gardening is a great healer... Got my Big Boy and Supersonic
Tomato Plants ready for the first transplant to some
8" pots for their next transplant, in front of the house
for the neighbors to see.. they go crazy. ...
