Fall iris blooms ?

Down the street from us here in zone 5a SW ontario someone has iris' that are just finishing blooming , how did they do that , it looks so nice but completely out of season , any hints ? please thank-you

You don't say which iris they are. There are several different species of iris. Some of the tall bearded iris are rebloomers so that could be what you see. This site might help you to id the type of iris you see. Maybe you could post a picture?
