Hi deadlyart
Are you aware that avocados grow on trees that have extensive root sytems, and can grow up to 20 feet tall?!!!

People often grow these trees in pots which, restricts the root growth and therefore the height that the trees can attain.

However, if a tree naturally grows to such a height, keeping at a smaller size will have detrimental effects on the tree itself.

One option is to graft a branch from an existing tree onto some dwarf or semi-dwarf root-stock. Then you would be able to grow the tree in the ground without having to worry about it becoming to large.
