I purchases a packet of verbascum "Southern Charm" as it looks as though the blooms are beautiful. The common mullein verbascum is considered invasive...what about this hybrid? The info says its not, but I'd like to hear from someone who actually has grown it.
I've had plants that take over the garden and don't want to battle one if I can help it.
Any input would be appreciated.

I have yet to meet a Verbascum, thrapsis or otherwise, that isn't a totally noxious and invasive plant. It doesn't stop me from growing them (they're great medicinals), but it does stop me from letting them seed after blooming.
So what I'm saying, I suppose, is that if you're vigilant about deadheading after it's bloomed, you should be OK. If not, you'll never be rid of it.
