The yard, the plan, and the PICS (finally)

Earlier this year I promised pics of my small yard, here they are!
It's a mess, but it's truck pull season so the hubby booted all my gardening stuff out of the garage

Our plan for next year is to take a skid loader and level the whole yard, then build my beds and lay sod. You can't see it from the pics but our yard is uneven and has giant holes from a pool that was there once upon a time and our stupid rotten dog....
Anyway......

The last pic ends right about where the property line is. The cement barrier is the south side the of the property, garage and shed on the west side. My beds are going to be 4'x10'x2'. There will be right about two feet between them so they won't go all the way to the property line. They will be north to south on the 10 foot side so one of the 4' ends will be made by the cement retaining wall.
I might also put a bed alongside the shed which would be almost 10 feet by 3ish feet or so (so I can reach okay).

Also, all that junk on that fence WILL be gone, even if I have to resort to extreme measures to do it. The parking lot that is there is owned by that catholic church and they no longer use it so it's overgrown and intuding into my yard  But anyhoo, that should give me a tiny bit more sun.

Any thoughts, suggestions, better ideas?

Yay it's a church. :)

Does that cement "wall" beneath the fence have sort of a ledge?

I'd totally take advantage of that chainlink and ledge and that it's a church and they probably wont mind... plant some peas & cucumber etc... :) yay.

Nice wall (tan one) near the existing garden bed... I'd prop a trellis and plant something that blooms (and colorful :) ) to attract bees. I don't see many blooming flowers around the neighborhood.

I love the bench beneath the window - I'd definitely use that near the garden.

You got a lot of things you can do! Good Luck

(PS it's not a mess.)
