shredded paper as mulch?

I recently got several garbage bags of white shredded paper from where I work and I used it on my garden paths, covered by a thick layer of grass clippings and it's working wonderfully to kill the grass growing and weeds. My only problem is that they aren't shredding paper fast enough for me to finish the project. :(

Does anyone have any good sources that they've gotten it from in the past (chains, or certain kinds of businesses)???? I've called around to banks, etc, but most of them use a pro shred company.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
