Help with laying turf.

HI there I'm new to this forum and gardening :)

We have just moved into a new house and it has a garden :) Great for the kids, however it is crazy paved and the paving is in a terrible state! Is it possible to lay turf over the paving? I really don't want to have to remove all the paving. Could I put down a layer of topsoil and then lay turf on top?

Yes you can. A lot of sidewalks have disappeared over time under sod many, many times.

Thank you very much, I wasn't looking forward to diging up all those paving stones :) Would I be better off putting some soil down 1st though?
