Love your garden!

To set the stage, I am in town, and have a small garden at the curb. A mix of perennials. I don't tend as much as I should, but like that 'pretty look' in front, so they don't notice the mess behind.

Never fails, when I am out there working it, usually late afternoon, cars stop and I hear a Thank You! I do this work late afternoon so I can have an adult beverage, have my tote with clippers, hand cultivator, trowel, scissors etc. I am not on a busy block, but have a few drive-home-after-work come by. I get a friendly wave, stop to say thank you, or what is that flower. Was out there today, and had the usual, and one fellow pulled over. Asked if that was rosemary I was trimming and holding (was trimming out some old bad stuff, and some good leaves still on). He is a cook, and I handed him a bunch.

Just on the bragging, my son and baby stopped by the other day, we are out front, lady pulls over and raves on garden, I got her some rosemary and thanks. Son saw me smile in my world. He understands.

Just sharing a bit of my smiles.

BTW, will work out pics in another week. I have newish 'puter, windows 7, on picasa, all directions are for photobucket, and even my old way has changed. I have have brown thumbs 'puter skills. Aaargh!!!!

Yes, I have had people stop and admire the beautiful front yard and say thank you... doesn't it make you feel good!? Nice touch giving bunches of rosemary. Most of my herbs are in the back, except some lavender in a couple spots in front but not too near the sidewalk... it's something to think about, put some herbs out by the curb! I like it.

Hey that's great. It is nice to see your passion is enjoyed by others.

My neighbor had some friends over the other day. I was outside as they were leaving. And I hear one of the females say "Oh look he has onions in with the roses" I was waiting for the "what a redneck" comment but she actually thought it was cool. :D
