I'm wanting to start Thyme in my yard.. as some ground cover and some flower beds.

Been looking at the web and I can't find it in seeds. It seems you have to buy the little plants and plant them.

I'm interested in wooly Thyme, Caraway Thyme, and some other flowering Thymes.

Thought I'd as the experts! Thanks.

I have found it easier to just buy the plants. It is cheaper to buy a couple of packages of seed and an eclosed flat with drainage but, starting herbs can be a bit iffy.

Anyway, if you do want to take the second route, what I have found is the best way to get the seeds to germinate is to fill the flat with soil and then spread the seeds over the soil and lightly cover the seeds with more soil then, water the seeds and place in a greenhouse and water when needed. This will give you an entire flat of the plant for the same price that it will cost for one or two plants.
