Found it growing near young red alders along a path in the woods (NW). The path used to be a logging road. Some are very small, some are as tall as 10'.
I wondered about Fool's Huckleberry (Happy April Fool's Day ), but the leaves don't look fuzzy.

I remember eating an Indian Plum last summer down the road. I went back there and noticed that the leaves are little bigger and brighter than the plant in question. Plus the white flowers were plentiful, matching Indian Plum flower pictures I've seen. So I'm back to thinking that what I see in the woods could be Fool's Huckleberry. No white flowers.
People used to dump yard waste out there when it was a logging road. Ivy included.
