Please help me identify this flower

Hello Gardeners

I'm not a gardener myself, I'm a Reiki practitioner, and I recently ordered business cards with a flower on them. I was told by another Reiki Master it's important to find out what the flower is as it has meaning energetically but I haven't been able to locate a picture using Google of the same type of flower. I'm hoping y'all can help. The flower is:

I'm pretty sure that's a Magnolia flower. Hmm... looks like I'm getting the closest hits under "lily magnolia" or "red magnolia". When you find out, could you post the meaning of this flower?

I agree with Applestar ... it's a magnolia blossom. Here is a photo of a magnolia blossom:

The points on the petals of the "business card flower" don't seem to correspond to the rounded petals on the magnolia.

I was thinking perhaps a cymbidium (a type of orchid).

Maybe the business-card printer can tell you where the image came from?

Hmmm ....

These are cymbidiums. The centers look quite different to me. I also wasn't able to find one the had petals that were white or light pink inside and a darker pink outside. (My lack of success at that search doesn't mean there isn't such a flower, of course. )

For the color of red (and one of these days I'll figure out those short urls...), here's a nice shot:

I have several pots of cymbidiums (although none red, just the usual creams) here, and the petal shape jumped out at me.

But the stamen / throat difference *is* pronounced, I agree. Maybe the business-card printer can furnish some information....

I am going to have to agree with AS and Kisal. It's a magnolia. Magnolia soulangiana, or Japanese Magnolia to be specific.

I thought magnolia at first glance too.
Magnolias are said to represent nobility, perserverance and a love of nature, which I think is very apt for someone on the reiki path!

Thank you all for your help! I agree the middle part of the flower definitely looks like a magnolia but I can't find any other pictures of magnolias where I can honestly say the petal shape matches. Very strange. But I'd have to agree with y'all.
