Laying turf in this weather!

Hi all, just a quick one from a complete novice!
I'm in desperate need of laying a lawn - I've rotivated, done all the preperation etc, but I was wondering about this awful weather we're having - does all this rain mean that this is a good or bad time to lay a lawn??
Any help or advice gratefully accepted! I'd hate to spend money only if it's going to be washed away!

Overwatering new sod is virtually impossible unless there is enough water to wash it away. The best siruation is soaking rain followed by sun followed by soaking rain followed by sun etc..

Not knowing where you're from I can't comment on the weather conditions, but suffice it to say that unless you're on the Florida panhandle, too much rain is not likely for your sod, in fact it means it' GO TIME! What are you doing in here typing? GET THAT SOD DOWN!
