Music & Growing?

Hello. Ive heard rumors that playing low music to your tree actually helps it grow stronger and faster. Is this true or just another myth? It seems kind of silly to me.

Thanks

While I've seen scientific evidence for touching and talking to your trees, I've yet to see corraborated evidence for the music. I will maintain an open mind, but will not start playing for my garden just yet...

Plants do not have any structures to "hear" music or any other sound for that matter. However, it could be possible that the sound waves somehow interact with the tissues or the roots thus, encouraging growth but, I have not read any papers on the topic.
If you are really interested, you could go to your local college or university and do a Journal Search under Plants, growth and sound frequencies.
