Tar spot on Norway Maples... HURRAH!!

Anyone else fron the North East excited about the massive amount of Tar Spot on all of the Norway Maples???

All this rain must be making the fungi thrive!! The most susceptible species being the Norway Maple, which is good, because that introduced invasive tree shouldnt be growing here in the first place!

There is so much Tar spot, the leaves are abscising very early, it looks like its fall! and whats great is that all of the fallen leaves will help the fungus even more next year.

Hopefully next year will be as rainy as this year, maybe those horrible trees will be weakened so much they will die off.
